The QuickTime™ VR movie in this folder shows how Mountain High Maps® can be used in multimedia presentations. To view it, you need to have QuickTime v2.5 and QuickTime VR installed on your computer. You will find both of these in the Macworld System Utilities folder. To install QTVR, just drag the files “QuickTimeVRLib” and “QuickTime™ VR” onto your System Folder icon. To install QuickTime 2.5, run the installer as follows:
1) Double-click the installer icon to open it.
2) Read the first screen and click CONTINUE.
3) Read the Software License and click AGREE.
4) At the next screen, do one of the following:
-To allow the installer to automatically install the correct components
ensure the Easy Install is displayed in the pop-up menu.
5) Click the INSTALL button.
6) When you see the message that the installation was successful, click
the RESTART button.
The QuickTime installer will place QuickTime extentions into your system folder. It will also install the MoviePlayer application into a new "QuickTime folder" on your hard disk drive. To view the QTVR Globe, run MoviePlayer. When the Globe opens, hold the mouse button down to turn the globe in any direction.
